Kotokel lake

Kotokel lake is located 2 km away from Baikal shore. Its length is about 16 km and width is 7.5 m, while depth is 7-8 m. Kotochik river flows out of the lake, however when water level in Turka river (tributary) is higher than the lake, Kotochik runs back into the lake. The water gets quite warm in the lake.There are summer cottages, tourist resorts and summer houses located at the northern shore. Bream, perch, pike and Siberian roach live in the lake. The water level is 10-15 meters higher than Baikal water level.
